A. Publication Ethics of Jurnal Sistem Informasi dan Teknologi (SINTEK)

This statement clarifies the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing a manuscript in the Jurnal Sistem Informasi dan Teknologi (SINTEK), which is managed by Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (LPPM) STMIK Kuwera, including authors, editors, and reviewers.

This statement is based on the standards COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines For Journal Editors.

1. Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication

Publication of a manuscript is very important to pay attention to its ethics, this also includes the Jurnal Sistem Informasi dan Teknologi (SINTEK). Jurnal Sistem Informasi dan Teknologi (SINTEK) publishes manuscripts that are the result of theoretical and empirical studies from various author sources that can be accounted for. This is important for the development of science to be implemented in the development of the economy in a country. Therefore, a coherent and respected network of knowledge needs to be carried out in the Journal's Publication Ethics Guidelines. This is a direct reflection of the quality of work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Manuscripts in Jurnal Sistem Informasi dan Teknologi (SINTEK) are peer-reviewed to support and realize the scientific method. It is then important to agree on the standards expected of ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing, namely the authors, journal editors, reviewers, publishers and the public.

LPPM STMIK Kuwera is committed to ensuring that broadcasting, reprinting or other commercial income has no impact or influence on editorial decisions.

2. Publication Decisions

Before publishing both Online and Print for Jurnal Sistem Informasi dan Teknologi (SINTEK), the Chief Editor responsible for publishing asks for input from other Editors and support suggestions from reviewers. Where, this is also based on a series of journal publications starting from manuscript submission, editor checking, reviewer checking, layout checking, plagiarism checking and copyright. 4. Standard of Objectivity

Every manuscript submitted to Jurnal Sistem Informasi dan Teknologi (SINTEK), editors and reviewers are required to evaluate the manuscript based on the established standards. However, review comments from editors and reviewers need to respect the author. And reviewers are required to be consistent in their decisions and recommendations to editors and authors.

5. Acknowledgement of Sources

C. Duties and Obligations of Authors

1. Reporting Standards

Authors are required to provide accurate data and informative information on the work submitted to Jurnal Sistem Informasi dan Teknologi (SINTEK). The data presented contains accountable reference sources and is included in the manuscript. Fraud or deliberate inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable behavior.

2. Data Access and Retention

Authors may be asked about data and information in the manuscript, so they are required to provide data and information related to the manuscript in a timely manner to the editor and reviewer. 3. Originality and Plagiarism

4. Multiple, Redundant or Concurrent Publication

When authors submit a manuscript for publication in the Information System Journal, the author is not allowed to submit the manuscript to other publishers simultaneously. Simultaneous submissions from authors are considered unethical and the manuscript cannot be accepted.

5. Acknowledgement of Sources

Every manuscript submitted by the author to Jurnal Sistem Informasi dan Teknologi (SINTEK). must provide acknowledgement of appropriate sources that can add value to the manuscript, all of which must be clearly stated in the reference list.

6. Research Authorship

Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the research reported in the manuscript submitted to Jurnal Sistem Informasi dan Teknologi (SINTEK). Authors listed on the manuscript have a responsibility to keep co-authors posted with the review process. If accepted, all authors are required to provide a signed statement that the research work is their original research work.

7. Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects

If the work involves chemicals, procedures or equipment that have any unusual hazards inherent in their use, the authors must clearly identify these in the manuscript.

8. Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

All authors should disclose in their manuscript all sources of support for their research. All financial sources for the research should be disclosed.

9. Fundamental Errors in Published Works

When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author's obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
